Well not completely; blistering the peppers is more like it but with a super hot pan, a handful of these shishito peppers (consistently at the farmers market nowadays), and a bit of salt you’ll have yourself the most delicious summer snack on the planet. Blistered Shishito Peppers:
2 cups shishito peppers
1 tbsp olive oil
Preheat a wok or a skillet over high heat until smoking hot. Add the oil and the peppers and toss until blistered. Sprinkle with salt and serve. For a touch of sweetness, add a few halved cherry tomatoes to the wok after removing the peppers and toss for 30 seconds. Serve with the peppers.
