Happy Labor Day!

CSA Vegetable Curry

The city feels like a ghost town as the majority of us take a welcomed day off. Labor day weekend marks the end of the summer festivities as beaches close down, kids go back to school, and the weather, even for just a short period of time, manages to offer the best of both worlds. Warm sunny days followed by chilly, sweatshirt required nights are some of my favorite and yesterday was no exception. It’s also a fantastic time for food as those end of the summer crops just keep on coming and what better way to boost the flavors then a vegetable curry. Tomatoes, zucchini, corn, peppers, and greens with a touch of yogurt, riesling, and a blend of 6 herbs and spices made this chickpea curry absolutely delicious! But the watermelon raita put this one over the top!

So no matter if you are enjoying the “last day of summer” outside in the sun or unfortunately stuck working (Steve, you should face-time Em!) I hope you have a great Labor Day! And don’t forget to vote for what I cook my bro…
